PIONEER RESIDENT OF TRURO DIED OCT. 1

Funeral services were held last Saturday, Oct. 17, from the Kale Funeral home in Truro for Margaret Taylor.

Mrs. Taylor died on Oct. 15 at the Clarinda State hospital where she had been a patient for the past six years. She was 92 years of age.

The daughter of Samuel and Carolyn Walker, she was born near Truro on Jan. 24, 1861.

In 1891 she married Charles Afflerbach who died in 1896. In 1899 she married William Taylor who preceded her in death in 1937.

Mrs. Taylor spent practically her entire life in Madison county. She was a member of the Truro Methodist church and the W. R. C. organization.

Surviving are three children, Carl Afflerbach and Gale Afflerbach, both of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Don Taylor of Greeley, Colo.; two brothers, Nathaniel Walker of Truro and Elza Walker of California.

She was preceded in death by a son, Guy Taylor and a daughter Flossie.

Officiating at the last rites were the Rev. Clarence Moore of Truro. Burial was in the Ebenezer cemetery in Walnut township.
