Mount Airy, Md.

Robert C. Ohrt, 75, of Mount Airy, Md., died of a respiratory ailment Nov. 22 in Wimauma, Fla. His body was donated for medical research, and memorial services were held Friday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mount Airy, of which he was a member.

Mr. Ohrt was born in Dexter and had lived in Des Moines many years before moving to Maryland 20 years ago. He was an Iowa state trooper for 33 years and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen; two sons, Robert of Vernon, Conn., and Tim of Urbandale; two daughters, Margaret Ohrt of Mount Airy and Christine Fickling of Geneseo, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to his church’s capital repair fund in Libertytown, Md. Lewers Funeral Home in Ruskin, Fla., assisted with arrangements.
