HENRY GEORGE WELCH, MURRAY

Services for Henry George Welch, 93, Murray, who died Jan. 11 at his residence, were held Jan. 14 at the Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home in Murray with the Rev. Mary Ann Bernard of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was at the Greenfield Cemetery.

Born Feb. 10, 1893 at Greenfield, he was the son of Benjamin and Mary Davis Welch.

On Jan. 31, 1924, he married Della Irene Harris at Greenfield.

Mr. Welch lived in Adair County until moving to Madison County in 1934 and lived there until moving to Lorimor in 1952 and later to Murray in 1977. Mr. Welch was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War I.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irene Barber of Pay---, Wash.; sons, Donald and Dale, both of Winterset, and Howard of Greenfield; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, and a sister.
