MRS. LILLIAN KISER BURIED HERE FRIDAY

Lillian Tidrick Kiser was born in Madison county near Peru, Iowa, Nov. 7, 1873 and died at her home in El Monte, California, March 20 after a brief illness.

She was a daughter of John and Sarah (Bishop) Spurgin. The parents and one sister who died in infancy have preceded her in death. She was eleven years old when the family moved to Winterset, where she attended school and graduated from the Winterset high school in 1895. She was a member of the First Baptist church here.

She was married to Fred Tidrick and they made their home in Des Moines. He preceded her in death. She spent many years of her life teaching school both in Madison county and at Castana, Iowa. She returned to Des Moines where she did nursing until four years ago when she moved to El Monte, California where she married Carl D. Kiser.

She was a member of the First Baptist church of Des Moines and of the P.E.O. chapter.

She is survived by her husband and two brothers, Charles Spurgin of Des Moines and Joe Spurgin of Eugene, Oregon, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 25, at Anderson's Funeral home in Winterset conducted by the Rev. Lewis Jacobson, pastor of the First Baptist church of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
