Death of Bishop Waters

The death of Bishop S. E. Waters of the Pentecostal Ecclesiastical church occurred at the Winterset hospital September 21.

Bishop Waters had made his home in Winterset for the past two years, serving as pastor of the Pentecostal mission on East Lane street. He came here from Dallas Center.

He was born on February 15, 1877 and died at the age of 58 years. He had been connected with his church for about 20 years.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Waters of Winterset; and four children, Bert Waters of Dallas Center, Stephen of Des Moines, Amilda Stuart of Winterset and Virgie Waters of Winterset; four sisters, Flo Morris, Eva Noble, Mary Breadrick, and Edith Wilihan of Sioux City; and three brothers, Ed and Ben Waters of Sioux City and the Rev. C. D. Waters of the state of Washington.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Des Moines in charge of the Rev. Floyd Coop of Hopeville. Burial was at Des Moines.
