FRANK S. YOUNKIN SERVICES WEDNESDAY

Former Lorimor Mayor and Assessor Died July 4 at Winterset

Funeral services were held last Wednesday for Frank S. Younkin, well-known citizen of Lorimor, who died Monday, July 4, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset.

Mr. Younkin was 88 years of age. He was born near Riverside, but had lived in Union county and Lorimor for 44 years.

He was a former mayor of Lorimor. He also served as assessor for many years. Recently he had been in the insurance and seed corn business.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Georgia Barrett of Waterloo, a son, Lyle Younkin of Dallas, Tex.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Lorimor Baptist church in charge of the Rev. Lee Kivett. Burial was made in the Hamblin cemetery.
