FRED R. WARREN DIED HERE SUNDAY

Resident of This Community Last Six Years Was 71 Years Old

Fred R. Warren of Winterset died Sunday at a local nursing home, at the age of 71 years.

Mr. Warren was a native of Dallas county, where he was born April 21, 1883, a son of Franklin and Waltie Warren. Most of his active life was spent in farming, and in coal mining. He had lived in this community the last six years.

He was married Jan. 10, 1910, to Ellen Gilenquist. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Compton, and two sons, Fred and Paul Warren, all of Winterset; four grandchildren; a brother; and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
