MRS. SARAH POMEROY RITES AT ST. CHARLES

Mrs. Sarah M. Pomeroy, a long time resident of Madison county, died Tuesday, June 14, at a nursing home in Des Moines.

Mrs. Pomeroy was a life-long resident of Madison county, except for the past year in Des Moines. She was 89 years of age at her death.

She was the former Sarah Margaret Martin, daughter of James and Mary Martin, and was born in Madison county Nov. 12, 1865. She was married to Edgar E. Pomeroy.

She was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church, and the Order of Eastern Star there.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Allen of Des Moines; and three grandsons.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
