DEVERE E. MAIN OF PERU DIES

Heart Attack Causes Death at Memorial Hospital in Winterset

DeVere E. Main, a resident of near Peru the last several years, died Sunday evening at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset.

Mr. Main was 64 years of age. Last Thursday he suffered a heart attack at his farm home southeast of Peru, where he lived alone. A friend, Diamond Gilbert of Peru, was with him at the time, and he was brought to the hospital in Winterset. A second attack, occuring Sunday evening, proved fatal.

Mr. Main had come to Madison county about four years ago from New Sharon. He leaves no close relatives.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of Neil Anderson of Winterset. They were scheduled to be held this Wednesday afternoon at New Sharon, with burial at Lynnville.
