CHARLES C. KALE OF TRURO DIES

Had Retired After 43 Years in Grocery Business in Truro

Charles C. Kale, retired Truro merchant, died Monday, June 20, at the Clarke county hospital in Osceola. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Kale was a life-long resident of the Truro community, and was widely known there. He had engaged in the grocery business there for 43 years, but had retired in recent years.

He was born in Madison county, Feb. 7, 1886, a son of E. E. and Elizabeth Kale. He was married to Irma Huff, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Jack Kale of Truro; a step-daughters, Virginia Bein of Des Moines; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Kale was a member of the Congregational Christian church at Truro.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. from the Truro Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Walter Schilling, assisted by the Rev. Verne Willey. Burial was made in the Young cemetery.

Charles Kale Died Here Early Monday

Well-Known Truro Resident Victim of Heart Attack

Charles C. Kale, 69, died Monday at Clarke county hospital from a coronary heart attack. A widely known resident of Truro, he had retired four years ago from the grocery business, in which he was engaged for 43 years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. from Truro Christian church with the Rev. Walter Schilling officiating. Burial will be in Young cemetery, with Kale Funeral home in charge.

He was born Feb. 7, 1886 in Madison county, the son of E. E. and Elizabeth Kale, both deceased.

He was married to Irma Huff who survives, together with a son, Jack of Truro, a stepdaughter, Virginia Bein of Des Moines, and five grandchildren.

He was a member of the Congregational Christian church.

C. C. Kale, for many years a grocer in Truro, passed away of a heart condition in the Clarke county hospital Monday morning where he had been for the past ten days.
