Leona Sadler, 98, died Nov. 21, 2003 at Winterset Care Center South.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Funeral Home in Creston with David Sadler officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Creston.
Leona Sadler was born July 31, 1905 to Arthur and Millie (Vaughn) Wilson. On Nov. 29, 1925, she married Lawrence Sadler in Creston. Leona had resided in Winterset since 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, a sister and a daughter.
She is survived by a son, Robert Sadler of Chambersburg, Pa.; a daughter, Janice Young of Winterset; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Leona Sadler, 98, of Winterset, formerly of Creston, died November 20, 2003 at the Care Center South in Winterset.
Services were Friday, Nov. 28 at Coen,Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, Creston. David Sadler was the eulogist. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Creston. Memorials may be directed to Middle River Hospice of Winterset.
Mrs. Sadler, daughter of Millie Blanch (Vaughn) and Arthur Garfield Wilson, was born July 31, 1905 in St. Charles. She graduated from Creston High School. On Aug. 23, 1925, she married Lawrence Jay Sadler in Creston. She worked for Swift and Company during World War ll for 2-1/2 years, for a local laundry department at Greater Community Hospital. She was a caregiver. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, First United Methodist Church and UMW Circles, all of Creston.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Young of Winterset; a son, Robert (wife Cathy) Sadler of Chambersburg, PA.; two nephews, Doug Sadler and Herman Alfred; a niece Geneva Davis; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Aug. 23, 1982; a daughter, Doris Radline Combs in 1992; a brother Charles Wilson; and a sister Beulah Luella Alfred.
