Winterset, IowaLINNIE FOREMAN DIES AT 95 YEARS
One of Winterset's Oldest Residents Had Lived in County 57 Years
Mrs. Linnie Foreman, a Madison county resident for 57 years, died here Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the age of 95 years.
Mrs. Foreman was born in Lee county on Feb. 8, 1859, a daughter of Meredith and Malinda Helm. She spent her early life in that community, and was married there Oct. 12, 1886, to Charles Foreman. They were parents of one son, who died in infancy.
In 1898 they came to Madison county and settled in Webster township, where they farmed until moving to Winterset in 1922. Mr. Foreman died in 1923.
She was a member of the Wells Congregational church, later transferring to the First Baptist church in Winterset.
Nearest surviving relatives are nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Saturday from Anderson's home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. Walter Cecil, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
