FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Relatives here have received word of the death in California of a former Winterset resident, Mrs. George W. Clark. Mrs. Clark's death occurred at Los Angeles on Dec. 1.

Mrs. Clark was the former Mary Louise Rebecca Combs, a daughter of John and Mary Combs. She was born in Winterset May 22, 1867, and spent her early life here, but had lived in California for many years. Her husband preceded her in death.

She leaves two sons, Earl Clark of Parsons, Kan., and Dale Clark of Seattle, Wash.; and four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Roach of Los Angeles, Mrs. Blanche Lickenberg of Compton, Calif., Mrs. Louise Simmons of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Mary Henry of Des Moines.

Burial was made at the Chapel of the Pines in Los Angeles.
