Coleen Palmer, Des Moines

Coleen Palmer, 65, of Des Moines died of cancer Sept. 26, 2003 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 30 at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.

Coleen Palmer was born Sept. 28, 1936 in Des Moines to Fred and Lillian (Acott) Dhabalt. Coleen had been an administrative assistant for Reliastar Mortage Company and was a member of the Assembly of God Church, both in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.

She is survived by two sons, Chuck Love of Aurora, Ill., and Mike Love of Osceola; three daughters, Georgia Palmer and Ruth Palmer, both of Des Moines, and Bobbi McAfee of Osceola; her father, Fred Dhabalt of Winterset; a sister, Beverly Love of Earlham; three brothers, Fred Dhabalt Jr. and Roger Dhabalt, both of Des Moines and Terry Dhabalt of Earlham; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
