Recent Macksburg Resident Died Saturday in El Paso
Mrs. Eugene Kirkland, formerly of Macksburg, died last Saturday April 10 at her home in El Paso, Tex. Although she had been in delicate health from a heart condition her death came suddenly and was thought to have resulted from a stroke. She was 33 years of age.
Mrs. Kirkland was the former Dorothy Plumb of Des Moines. She and her husband lived at Macksburg for 12 months prior to moving to El Paso recently.
Her nearest surviving relatives are her husband; their 3-year-old daughter, Louise; and a sister and brother in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. this Thursday from the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines, and burial will be made in the Glendale cemetery there.
