Robert B. Eshelman, 88, of Winterset died June 28, 2007. A career serviceman, Bob served in the United States Navy from 1939 until his retirement in 1961.
No immediate services are planned. The body was cremated and a military service, scheduled for a later date, will be held at the new Iowa State Veteran’s Cemetery in Van Meter following its opening.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Winterset; three sisters, Alice Manning of Casper, Wyo., Evelyn Kimbel of Portland, Ore., and Merriam Walker of Castro Valley, Calif.; and a brother, Oliver Eshelman Jr. of Casper, Wyo.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel and Funeral Services in Winterset.
