Vera Miller died January 26, 2004 at Crest Haven Care Centre in Creston.

Vera was born June 23, 1918 in Nodaway to george Washington Hunter and Bertha Clark. She married Marshall Wayne Miller on November 25, 1936. Vera was a seamstress for Turner's department store for many years.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, George, Albert and Ivan Hunter. She is survived by her son, G. L. Miller of Corning and daughter, Nancy (Bob) Bowman of Winterset.
