Anna Elizabeth Eshelman Stowe Mead, 90, died May 15, 2005 at Winterset Care Center South.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Winterset Care Center South with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. There will be no visitation. The cremains will be buried in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Des Moines.

Anna Mead was born Jan. 2, 1915 in Sioux City to Harry and Frances (Holliday) Eshelman. She was first married to James Leroy Stowe. She later married Robert Mead. Anna, a homemaker, had lived in Sioux City until moving to St. Charles in 1970. She had been a resident of Winterset Care Center South since 1994. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mead; two daughters, Joyce and Janet (Virginia); and four brothers, Harry, Edwin, Garrett and Robert.

She is survived by her children with husband James Leroy Stowe-Patricia, Maxine, Jimmy (John Paul) and Shirley; a sister Marilyn Hoffman of Sioux City; and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
