DEATH OF JAMES STEELE

James L. Steele, a resident of Madison county for the greater part of his life, died last month at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Walkenhauer of Yakima, Wash., it became known here this week. He was 77 years of age.

In addition to his relatives in the west, he is survived by four sisters, all living near Lorimor. They are Mrs. Hannah Smith, Mrs. Sadie Rush, Mrs. Abby Holman and Mrs. Minnie Frey. His wife, the former Eola Means of Kasson, died in 1938.
