Joan C. Freudenberg,78, of Winterset died June 22, 2002 at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at Ochiltree Funeral service & Aftercare in Winterset with Father Chris Hartshorn officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service where the family will be present. A reception with the family will follow the service at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date.
Joan Freudenberg was born Sept. 25, 1923 in Mishawaka, Ind., to Godfrey, Sr. and Cecil (Kittridge) Klaer. She married Herman Freudenberg in September 1955 in Reno, Nev. She had been a resident of Winterset for the past five years. Previously she had resided in Fairfield, Calif. for over 35 years and Mishawaka, where she grew up. Joan was a registered nurse for 35 years, retiring in 1986 from a physician's clinic in Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
She is survived by a son, Mike Drysdale (wife Rita) of Winterset; a daughter, Madeline Downie (husband Roger) of Winnipeg, Canada; and four grandchildren.
