Joseph P. Young, a long-time resident of Winterset, died at the local hospital Tuesday. He was 74 years of age.
Mr. Young was one of the oldest residents of Winterset. He was for many years engaged in the draying business here. He is survived by his wife, and several children.
Funeral services will be held from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

Page 4, Column 2Funeral services Joseph P. Young, were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in the Ramsey–Richards funeral home, conducted by Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Joseph Young died Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Winterset hospital following an extended period of ill health. He was 74 years of age who had been engaged in the draying business here a number of years.
His wife, Mrs. Anna Young and a daughter, Mrs. Lyle Davis, survived, in addition to numerous other relatives and friends.
