Obituary Of IDA HAMILTON

The deceased, Ida Maud Hamilton, was born in Madison county, Iowa, February 1, 1885, and died in Winterset, Iowa, April 29, 1909, aged 24 years, 2 months and 28 days. She was the beloved daughter of Lydia A and John Hamilton, of our city

After she had received her education in the public schools of Winterset she became an operator for the telephone companies and continued with them, rendering faithful service for two years when her health failed. About a year ago she went to South Dakota hoping that a change would restore her. At first it seemed to benefit her, but it did not continue long, and as she did not recover, she returned home last Christmas time.

During the winter she continued to fail, although she had the best of care and medical attendance, and quietly and peacefully passed away to be at rest about one thirty o'clock Thursday morning.

She was a modest and unassuming lady of real worth and a great comfort to her aged parents.

During her late illness she loved to have the bible read to her and found great peace, satisfaction and rest in trusting her Savior.

She leaves to mourn her early demise, her devoted father and mother; her faithful and loving brother and three sisters, and other near relatives and a goodly number of affectionate friends.

Her sisters, Edith M. Tillton, of Norwalk, Iowa; Pearl Niblo, of South Dakota; Lillie G. Maxwell of Winterset, and her brother, Hayes Hamilton, of our city were present in attendance at her funeral

The funeral services were held at the home of her parents in Wintersest Saturday, Rev. S. S. Smith officiating. A mixed quartet rendered some fine selections and some of her lady friends acted as pall bearers.

Internment was in the Patterson cemetery.
