BERT COON DIED IN DES MOINES RECENTLY

Bert Coon, a former resident of Winterset, died at his home in Des Moines Monday, Feb. 28 following a stroke.

Born in Madison county in February 1876, he was the oldest son of Clyde and Pearl Coon. His entire life was spent here until moving to Des Moines 15 years ago.

He is survived by his sister, Pearl. A brother, Clyde preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday in Des Moines, and burial was made in the Glendale cemetery there.
