Webster Township Farmer Succumbs to Heart Ailment
Gile E. Macumber, member of a pioneer family long prominent in the history of Madison county, died at his home in Webster township Monday. He had been ill about a week with a heart ailment. He was 67 years of age.
Mr. Macumber was a life-long resident of Madison county. He was born here on Aug. 31, 1873, the son of Lindsey and Emily Church Macumber. He was married to Miss Dora Holt and they were the parents of six children.
Near surviving relatives are his wife, and six children. The children are Emily L., Thelma L., Dorothy V., Rex H., Eva C., and Ted.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. A. R. Weed of Carl.
