Cora Lydia Hamilton was born in Madison county, Iowa, Sept. 19, 1901 and died at Mercy hospital, in Des Moines, March 31, 1920 at the age of 18 years, 6 months, 11 days.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Hamilton of Winterset. She leaves two brothers: Merle B. and Earl H., both of Winterset; two sisters: Mrs. Pearl Smith and Miss Hazel Hamilton of Winterset.
She united with the Methodist church at the age of 14 years. Besides the aged mother and father and sisters and brothers, Miss Hamilton leaves a host of friends who will miss her. She always had a sweet smile and pleasant word for everybody.
Funeral services were held from Tidrick's funeral parlor at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial at the cemetery northeast of town. (Primitive Baptist)
