LEVI WOLFE

Levi Wolfe was born in Brown county, Ohio, Aug. 4, 1844 and passed to his reward from his home in Macksburg, March 15, 1920, at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 11 days.

He was married to Eliza Virginia Marquis Nov. 8, 1884. To this union was born three sons and one daughter, one son dying in infancy. Two sons, Alpheus and Glenn of Macksburg and the daughter, Mrs. H. V. Porter of Jacksonville, Fla., remain with their mother to mourn the loss of a kind father and loving husband.

Mr. Wolfe came to Iowa in 1846 with his parents, finally settling in Madison county in 1880, where he spent the remainder of his life. At an early age he gave his heart to God and united with the Christian Union church. About 23 years ago he transferred to the M. E. church at Macksburg. His desire was that the church he loved might be the instrument to exult his Christ.

The funeral was held from the M. E. church at two o'clock Wednesday, conducted by a former pastor, Rev. Ivan R. Mills of Nodaway, Iowa. Interment was made in the Moon cemetery.
