ALBERT BABBITT DIES

Albert Babbitt of 307 South Maple street, Creston, died unexpectedly Monday April 4th while at work. He was 61 years of age and had been an employee of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad for 30 years. He had lived in Creston for 26 years and had been employed as car inspector and in several other departments.

Physicians said his death was probably caused by a blood clot on the heart.

Mr. Babbitt was born May 8, 1876 at Promise City. He was married March 7, 1900 at Winterset to Margaret Welch. Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Blanche Harpin of Baxter Springs, Kan., one son, John Babbitt at home, two brothers, Charles Babbitt of Council Bluffs and James Babbitt of Fort Dodge, a sister, Alice Johnson of Oklahoma and one grandson, Robert Edwrds Harpin.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Creston and burial was made in Creston.

Mrs. Babbitt is a sister of Mrs. Blanche Welch of Des Moines and Mrs. Ed Orris.
