Harry Haun Died Christmas Day
Sudden Heart Attack Claims Life of Farm Bureau Field Man

Harry C. Haun of Winterset, Madison county Farm Bureau field man for the last nine years, died suddenly at his home here Christmas day, as result of a heart attack. He was 59 years of age.

Mr. Haun was a native of Fairfax, Mo., where he was born July 11, 1898, a son of Leslie and Ada McKinley Haun. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State college in 1925, and did post-graduate work at the University of Missouri.

He as married Aug. 10, 1927, at Albany, Mo. To Anice Thompson. They were parents of five children, all of whom survive their father.

He was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic lodge. He was a veteran of World War I, and during World War II served three years as an associate director in National Red Cross work.

In addition to his wife, he leaves the five children, Harry Haun, Jr., of Chillicothe, Mo., Mrs. Charles Tucker, Jr., of Winterset, Mrs. Marion Niblo of Winterset, James Haun of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. L. B. Ketchum of Duncan, Okla. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, three brothers, Raymond and Jack Haun of Fairfax, Mo., Hubert Haun of Rockport, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Burns of Tarkio, Mo., and Mrs. William Greever of Fairfax.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Also Mr. and Mrs. Galand McGinnis of Vail, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lowe of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Taylor of Kentucky, Wendell Mitchell, Lew Hockbart and John McIntyre of Adel, Dick Bogaardes, Stanley Nichol and Ken Langer of Des Moines, Jim Hasselman of Knoxville, Wayne Brown of Indianola and Loren Proudfit of Prole.
