MRS. F. C. FARQUHAR DIED HERE TUESDAY

Funeral Rites to Be Held at Anderson's Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Mrs. F. C. Farquhar, a resident of this county since 1901, died at her home in Winterset Tuesday evening after a brief fatal illness. She was 74 years of age and had been in failing health for many years.

Mrs. Farquhar was the former Margaret Smith, daughter of Robert and Phoebe Givan Smith, and was born at Bristow on Oct. 12, 1865. She was married there to F. C. Farquhar on Feb. 21, 1894. They made their home at Audubon for several years before coming to this county 39 years ago. Since 1912, they had lived in Winterset.

Mrs. Farquhar was a life-long member of the Presbyterian church, having united with that church at Bristow as a child. She transferred her membership to Audubon and Winterset upon moving to these communities.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Irma Knight of Estherville, and Mrs. Phoebe Fulls of Russell, Kan., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. this Thursday afternoon from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. W. P. Fink, pastor of the Presbyterian church here. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
