FORMER RESIDENT DIES

Mrs. Mattie Anderson Elarton died at her home in Osyka, Miss., December 6th, after a prolonged illness.

She is survived by her husband Charles Ellerton and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ellerton was a daughter of William and Nancy Anderson, pioneer settlers of Ohio Township. Mrs. Ellerton was born in Madison County and for many years served as compositor at the Madisonian office. She was the last child of a family of seven children, her brother, Irwin Anderson and her sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Clifton, Mrs. Melila Howard, Mrs. Lucy Minard, Mrs. Mamie Hagen and Mrs. Lyda Foster having preceded her in death.

Mrs. Elarton has lived in the south for the past five years, and her funeral and burial services were held there.
