Martin Christensen Dies

Martin Christensen, a former resident of this county died at his home in Exira, Sunday, December 28th (1930), after an extended illness. He was 61 years of age and while born in Denmark, came to this county when he was 17 years of age. He was married to Magdalena Jensen on October 21, 1887, and they were the parents of twelve children.

Mrs. Christensen and ten children survive the father; Jim Christensen of Exira; Otto of St. Charles; Chris of Dexter; Nels of Winterset, Sena Peterson of Elk Horn; Christina Peterson of Adair; Emma Christensen of Greenfield; Mary Johnson of Exira; Esther Peterson of Audubon and Martha Nellis of Earlham. He also leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. Peter Knudson of Exira and a brother Peter Christensen of Harlan.

Burial was made in Stuart.
