MRS. SARAH OLLER DIED HERE MONDAY

Elderly Resident Had Been Confined to Bed for Past Ten Years

Mrs. Sarah Oller, a resident of Madison county for most of her life, died at her home in Winterset, Monday, after a long illness. She was 84 years of age, and had been confined to her bed for the past 10 years.

Mrs. Oller had lived in Winterset for the past 41 years. She was the widow of the late Joseph Oller who died in 1918.

She was the mother of eight children, seven of whom survive. Those living are: Mrs. Luella Holmes and Mrs. Iva Carter of Winterset, John Oller of Creston, Earl Oller of Omaha, Mrs. Almeda Delahunty of Winterset, Lee Oller of Out Bank, Montana, and Mrs. Lila Martin of Des Moines. One daughter, Mrs. Della Fenimore, preceded the mother in death.

Mrs. Oller also leaves two brothers and one sister, George and John Kennedy and Mrs. Rachel York, all of Myrna, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., this Thursday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

MORTUARY

Mrs. Sarah Oller was born June 4, 1857, daughter of Josiah and Mary Kennedy in Lucas county, Iowa. She passed away at her home in Winterset, Oct. 20, 1941, at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 20 days, after an illness of ten years.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Oller, July 25th, 1875 in Lucas county, Iowa. To this union were born eight children, all of whom were present at her death except one son, Lee, who was coming from Montana, and a daughter, Mrs. Idella Fenimore who preceded her in death. The other children are Mrs. Luella Holmes and Mrs. Iva Carter of Winterset, John Oller of Creston, Earl Oller of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Almeda Delahunty of Winterset, Lee Oller of Out Bank, Mont., and Mrs. Lela Martin of Des Moines. Besides her children there are 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Mrs. Oller also leaves two brothers and one sister: George and John Kennedy of Callaway, Neb., and Rachel York of Marne, Neb.

Funeral services were held at the Anderson funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Tom Foglesong of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Most of her life was spent in Madison county. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
