Obituary Notice of Isaac Bardrick

Isaac Groves Bardrick was born in Sangamon county, Ill., Nov 24, 1848. Died in Winterset, August 29, 1907. From Illinois he came to Winterset, where in 1872 he was united in marriage to Miss Celestia Brewer, the daughter of a Christian minister, who was present at the dedication of the first building of that church. From here they afterwards went to Middle River, where he untied with the M. E. church, and later they came back to Winterset, and in 1903, he with his wife united with the Christian church, of which he was an honored member at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, one brother, on sister, one son, and three daughters. Two daughters and one son having preceded him to the other world.

During his last sickness, which was of nearly five weeks duration, and intense with suffering, he was constantly desiring to be at rest with his Master, and among the last words he expressed a desire to be in the kingdom of the Lord, and with the angels. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Middle River, and the remains tenderly laid to rest in the family lot in the Roberts cemetery (Adair county). Services in charge of his pastor, Rev. E. E. Bennett.
