MRS. LAURA YOUNG

Laura Neal, daughter of Benjamin and Mary Neal, was born near Agency, Iowa, on Nov. 22, 1858, and died at the home of her son, Bert A. Young, near St. Charles, Iowa, May 25, 1941, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 3 days.

She was united in marriage to Amon E. Young on March 4, 1885. To this union was born one son.

Mrs. Young spent her girlhood days in Wapello county, near Agency, and joined the Baptist church there. She moved, at the age of 21, with her parents, to a farm south of St. Marys, and with the exception of 7 years in Minnesota and 4 years in Michigan, she had spent her life in Madison and Warren counties.

Her husband preceded her in death by 31 years.

She leaves to mourn her death her son, Bert A. Young and wife; three grandchildren, Norman A. Young of St. Charles, Gene A. Young of Anaheim, Cal., and Mrs. Andrew Petersen of Farrar, Iowa, and a host of relatives and friends.
