DEATH OF R. W. DONALDSON

Ralph W. Donaldson, 52 years old, who had been a life-long resident of the Winterset neighborhood, died at the hospital in Clarinda on December 12. His death culminated several years of illness spent in the hospital. On October 22 he sustained a broken leg. This was followed by a stroke, which was the immediate cause of death.

Ralph Donaldson was born in Adair county on January 26, 1882. He was the son of William H. and Sarah J. Donaldson. On February 12, 1913, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Roberts in Winterset. She died two years later.

The deceased was a member of the Methodist church in Winterset since 1916. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Minnie McGee of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Frank Wight of Winterset; and a brother, H. A. Donaldson of Pitzer.

Funeral services were held December 14 from Tidrick’s Funeral home. The Rev. W. W. Bentzinger of the M. E. church was in charge. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
