Page 1DEATH OF MRS. J. D. COUCH
Mrs. J. D. Couch, long time resident of Winterset, died at her home in the northwest part of Winterset, Thursday, February 1, at the age of 79 years. Mrs. Couch became ill with pneumonia, about holiday time, and has been ill since then.
Mrs. Couch who was the former Mary Elizabeth Snyder was the daughter of Samuel and Judy Snyder. She was the oldest of the six children. In 1875 she was married to Mr. Couch, and they were the parents of three children, Wallie, Clarence and Fred. Her husband and son Clarence preceded her in death. She leaves two sons, one grandson, Roy Couch of Jefferson, one brother Warren and three sisters, Mrs. Myles Young, Mrs. Fred Mardis and Mrs. E. W. Arthur, all of Winterset.
The Rev. L. H. Lanning conducted her funeral services at the Ramsey-Richards funeral home Sunday afternoon, February 4th at 2 o’clock and interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.
