Mrs. Frances Cunningham Was 78 Years Old; Funeral This Wednesday
Patterson--(Special)--Mrs. Frances Cunningham, a life-long resident of this community, died Sunday. She was 78 years of age.
Mrs. Cunningham had lived for many years south of Patterson. she was a native of Madison county, and had spent all her life in this community. She was the former Frances Stout.
She is survived by her two children, Mrs. Charley Pace of California, and Verle Cunningham of Patterson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. this Wednesday from the Patterson Methodist church, in chage of the Rev. J. H. Machlan, pastor. Burial will be made in the Union Chapel cemetery.

Patterson Resident Passed Dec. 21 at Hospital in Des Moines
Funeral services were held on Wednesday of last week for Mrs. Francis Cunningham of Patterson, who succumbed the preceding Sunday at the age of 78 years. The rites were held from the Methodist church there and burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Cunningham was the former Carrie Francis Stout, daughter of Elvis and Abbey Stout, and was born at Patterson of Dec. 19, 1863. she was married to Gibson Cunningham on Jan. 6, 1883. They were the parents of two children, Mrs. Kate Pace of Fresno, Cal., and Verl C. Cunningham of Patterson, both of whom survive.
In addition to the children, she leaves seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Butler Stout of Patterson, and Shurm Stout of Fresno, Cal.; and one sister, Myrtle Stout of Los Angeles, Cal.
She was a member of the Patterson Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors of America.
