SAMUEL MORGAN OF PERU PASSES

Samuel Lambert Morgan, a respected citizen of Walnut township for a quarter of a century, died at his home near Peru last Thursday. He was 56 years old.

Mr. Morgan was the son of John and Mary Morgan and was born Dec. 18, 1884 in Clarke county. On Dec. 11, 1907, he was married to Clydie Armstrong. He was a member of the Methodist church at Peru.

He is survived by his wife; a niece, Mrs. Edna Mathews whom they reared in their home; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Robshaw.

S. L. MORGAN DIED SATURDAY

Had Lived Near Peru For Past Twenty-Five Years. Funeral Sunday.

Samuel L. Morgan, 56 years of age, died suddenly following a brief illness Thursday morning, at his home near Peru, where he had resided the past twenty-five years.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at two o’clock in the Peru Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J. H. Machlan. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.

Samuel Lambert Morgan was the son of John and Mary Morgan and was born December 17, 1884 in Clarke county, and died at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 21 days.

On December 11, 1907 he was united in marriage to Clydie Armstrong. He was converted in the Methodist church at Peru several years ago.

The surviving relatives are his wife, a niece, this is Edna Mathews, who may raised, and her three children, Rex, Joyce and Larry; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Robshaw and children, Orville and Marvin Armstrong, Mary Rhone, Merrill Mildred, George and John Robshaw; one uncle, Hiram Woods of Murray and numerous cousins.
