Life-Long Resident of That Community Died Last Friday
Macksburg--(Special)--Mrs. Nellie Waltman, a life-long resident in and near Macksburg, died at her home here last Friday. She was 69 years of age.
Mrs. Waltman was born near here on Sept. 13, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Johnson. She was married on March 20, 1890, to David H. Trautwein. They were the parents of three children, two of whom survive their mother. One son, Prentice Trautwein, died in 1915. Her husband passed away in 1902.
On May 4, 1904, she was married to William C. Trautwein. He died in 1906.
Her third marriage was to John L. Waltman, and occurred on Dec. 22, 1907. Mr. Waltman succumbed in 1921.
In 1896, she united with the First Congregational church northwest of Macksburg, continuing her membership there until that group disbanded.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Trautwein of Macksburg; the daughter, Mrs. Hazel Wallace of California; three grandsons, Chester, Russell and Victor Wallace; one great granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Reva Beamer of Macksburg; three half-sisters, Mrs. Robert Graham of Macksburg, Mrs. John Beck of Pitzer, and Mrs. Will Cameron of Kansas City, Mo., and one half brother, Lee Stewart of Macksburg.
Funeral services were held Sunday from her home, in charge of the Rev. B. R. Weetman. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
Pallbearers were J. C. Thompson, Earl Whitworth, Vernon Jessup, Thomas Baker, Glen Crow and Lloyd Holiday.

Mrs. Nellie Waltman died at her home on Friday, Jan. 31. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 2 at two o’clock, conducted by the Rev. B. R. Weetman and burial was made in the Moon cemetery.

Was Resident Of Macksburg and Vicinity Entire Lifetime.
Funeral services were Mrs. Nellie Waltman, 69-year-old resident of Macksburg, who died at her home Friday, were held Sunday afternoon at two o’clock in Macksburg, conducted by the Rev. B. R. Weetman, pastor of the Methodist church.
Use it was furnished by Mrs. Earle Whitworth, Vernon Jessup, Thomas Baker, Glenn Crow and Lloyd Holiday. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
Nellie Pearl Johnson, youngest daughter of Martha Eliza Lee and James Brashaw Johnson, was born near Macksburg, September 13, 1871, and died at her home in Macksburg, January 31, at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 18 days, having spent her entire life in and around Macksburg.
On March 20, 1890 she was united in marriage to David H. Trautwein and to this union three children were born, Eddie James Trautwein of Macksburg, Hazel Sarah Wallace of South Pasadena,Calif., and Prentice Trautwein, who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1915. David H. Trautwein died Dec. 26, 1902.
She was married to William C. Trautwein on May 4, 1904. He died July 11, 1906. On Dec. 22, 1907, she married to John L. Waltman whose death occurred August 28, 1921. In 1896 she united with the first Congregational church northwest of Macksburg continuing her membership until the church disbanded.
The surviving relatives are her son, Eddie, a daughter, Hazel; son-in-law, Guy Wallace; three grandsons, Chester, Russell and Victor Wallace; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Rena Beamer of Macksburg; three half sisters, Mrs. Robert Graham of Macksburg; Mrs. John back of Pitzer and Mrs. will Cameron of Kansas City, Mo.; one half brother, Lee Steward of Macksburg; one uncle, Wm. Johnson of Inglewood, Calif.; other relatives and friends.
