MRS. J. J. CROSSLEY DIES

Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. J. J. Crossley of Portland, Oregon. Mrs. Crossley who was 56 years of age, suffered a stroke two months ago, and has been critically ill since that time. Her husband is a former Winterset and Madison county resident.

Her funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Portland and burial services were held there.

Mrs. Crossley had made her home in Portland for a number of years. She was a member of the Congregational church in Portland and last year served as Worthy Matron of Rose chapter of the Order of Eastern Star there.

She is survived by her husband and a son and a daughter by a former marriage; Edwin Brown and Mrs. Helen Alfredson. She also leaves two grandchildren and a brother and several sisters, all of Portland.
