Grace Lafferty Services Held

Funeral services were held here last Saturday for Grace Belle Lafferty, 81, of Winterset. Mrs. Lafferty died at her home here on Thursday, October 31.

Mrs. Lafferty was born near Correctionville, Iowa on January 10, 1893, the daughter of John H. and Hattie Coon Kenyon. She was married to James LeRoy Lafferty at Cedar Rapids on August 24, 1911.

Mrs. Lafferty was preceded in death by her husband in 1934, and moved to Winterset in 1954.

Survivors include two daughters, Marguerite (Margie) R. Lafferty of Winterset and Mrs. Geneva M. Hougham of Earlham. Also surviving are two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Pastor Bernard Zylstra of the Earlham Church of Christ officiating. Burial was made in the Correctionville Cemetery at Correctionville.
