November 1, 1944Rev. George L. McLaird Dies
Rev. George L. McLaird, pastor of the Foursquare church here in 1940 and 1941, died of a heart attack in Los Angeles, Calif., last Wednesday, Oct. 25th at the age of 38 years. Winterset friends have received word that he had the attack while riding on a street car.
He is survived by his wife and their two children, Gloria Jean and Junior. The Howard Courtney conducted his funeral services which were held in Los Angeles last Friday and burial was made in the Forest Lawn Memorial cemetery.
