DEATH OF REX BROWN

Patterson – (Special) – Rex Elbert Brown, 6-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fern Brown, died at the Winterset hospital, November 21, after a short illness. Ptomaine poisoning was given as the cause of death.

The boy was born in Muscatine on November 1, 1928. The family came to Patterson about three years ago. He was in the second grade of the consolidated school and attended the Methodist Sunday school.

The child is survived by his parents and a group of other close relatives.

Funeral rites were held in the Patterson M. E. church last Friday, in charge of the Rev. E. L. Patterson of Peru. The pall bearers included Glen Pace, Donovan Wilson, Earl Mead and Robert McMurray. Burial was made at Powersville, Missouri.
