Found Dead at Her Home Here Following Heart Attack
Mrs. Elma Mae Williams of Winterset was found dead at her home on East Filmore street Sunday, following a heart attack. She had been in failing health since last fall.
Mrs. Williams was 59 years of age. She was born in Adams county, near Prescott, a daughter of James and Laura Mae Campbell. Her marriage to Ralph Williams occurred Aug. 19, 1923. He preceded her in death in 1938.
She had been a resident of Winterset since 1923.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Church of the Foursquare Gospel in Winterset, serving as Sunday school teacher, council member, treasurer, Berean group leader and Junior Crusader counsellor.
Surviving are two brothers, Ray Campbell of Prescott and Roy Campbell of Corning; her twin sister, Mrs. Edna Shoemaker of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Dawson of Sibley.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Foursquare church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. H. D. Rosenberger. Burial was made in the cemetery at Prescott.
