Joe Weaver, a former resident of the Patterson community in Madison county died recently at his home in Council Bluffs, Ia.
Mr. Weaver left his county about 50 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; and six daughters, Mrs. Mattie Haines of Oakland, Mrs. Maude Haines, Mrs. Bertha Mudra, Mrs. Grace Fichter, Mrs. Bessie Howard and Mrs. Jennie Heiman all of Council Bluffs.
Funeral services for Mr. Weaver were held Monday afternoon from the Faith Lutheran church in Council Bluffs. Burial was in Cedar Lawn cemetery there.

Page 14, Column 5Joe H. Weaver, 87, 131 Cass st., died Friday at his residence after an illness of six months.
A native of Patterson, Weaver had lived here 50 years. He retired after farming in Iowa and Nebraska. He was a member of the Christian Church of Winterset.
Survivors include Widow, Alice; six daughter, Mrs. Mattie Haines of Oakland, Mrs. Maude Haines, Mrs Bessie Howard, Mrs. Grace Fichter and Mrs. Jennie Heiman, all of Council Bluffs; sister, Mrs. Minnie Makrill of Baron, Wis.; 38 grandchildren and 80 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, at the Meyer Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert Miskimen of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Weaver died Friday at his residence. He has 126 survivors. The name of a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Mudra, of Council Bluffs, was omitted from the obituary.
