MORTUARY

Mina Banker Crawford

Mina Pearl Banker, second daughter of Jaocb and Etta Banker, was born June 18, 1899 in Madison county and died April 20, 1922 at the Methodist hospital, Des Moines, aged 22 years, 10 months, 2 days. With the exception of one year spent in South Dakota, her entire life was lived in this community. On Jan. 22, 1911, she was baptized and received into membership in the Pitzer United Presbyterian church, of which she remained a member until God called her Home. On Feb 18, 1920, she was united with George W. Crawford in an exceptionally happy marriage.

Besides her husband and father and mother, there are left to mourn her loss, two sisters; Mrs. Wallace Wight and Mariam Banker and two brothers; Ora E. and Ross Banker; also many other relatives and a host of friends. By her request, Rev. C. E. Hawthorne of Albia conducted the funeral services. It was her request that Mr. and Mrs. Orie Hart and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hollen should sing, but Mrs. Hollen being sick, Cora Clausen took her place. Burial was in Penn Center cemetery.

We wish to thank the many friends and neighbors for the kindness and sympathy shown us in our time of sorrow. – George Crawford, Jacob Banker and family.
