Lived Northeast of Winterset More Than Half Century
Mrs. Ella G. Glenn, who had lived just northeast of Winterset for more than half a century, died Saturday, Dec. 25, at the age of 91 years.
Mrs. Glenn was a native of South Dakota, where she was born at Vermillion on Sept. 17, 1863, a daughter of Benajor and Charlotte Collar. On Jan. 19, 1882 she was married at Vermillion to Thomas D. Glenn. He preceded her in death in 1919.
Mrs. Glenn was a member of the Baptist church.
She leaves one son, W. Dean Glenn of Winterset; a granddaughter, Mrs. Mildred Armstrong and two great grandsons, all of Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Ainsworth and Mrs. Flo Hurt both of Vermillion.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Earl Travis of Winterset. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
