Funeral services for Frank C. Craven, 82, were held Sept. 15 from the Methodist church at Macksburg.
Mr. Craven died suddenly at his home in Macksburg on Sept. 12.
The son of John D. and Eliza M. (Duncan) Craven, he was born on a farm near Macksburg on Oct. 19, 1872. He was the youngest in a family of eight children, all of whom preceded him in death.
On Nov. 19, 1898, he was united in marriage to Emma Conway and to this union were born five children.
Mr. Craven's entire life was spent in and around the community of Macksburg where he was a barber for many years.
Surviving are his wife, the five children, Doris Warnock of Macksburg, Irene Frederick of Las Vegas, Nev., Paul Craven of Monroe, Ia., Helen Jones of Kenai, Alaska, and Frank Jr., of Winterset; five grandchildren and two great granddaughters.
Officiating at the final rites was the Rev. C. M. Rowe. Burial was in the Moon cemetery south of Macksburg.
