MRS. KATHERYN COLE DIES NEAR MURRAY

Mrs. Katheryn Cole of Winterset died Thursday Nov. 25, after an illness of several months. She had been a patient at Madison county Memorial hospital at Winterset since Nov. 8. but had been released on Nov. 19 and taken to a nursing home in Murray.

She was 74 years of age.

Mrs. Cole was born in Clarke county Oct. 27, 1880, a daughter of Matthew and Margaret Schaff. She was married Dec. 29, 1902 to Ridley Cole of St. Charles who preceded her in death four years ago.

She placed her membership in the Methodist Protestant church at Union in Clarke county 49 years ago.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Erma Winkler of Wichita, Kan., Russell Cole of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Thelma Berry of Winterset. She also leaves six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and a half sister, Lizzy Cochran of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Lorimor Methodist church. Burial was made in East Union cemetery.
