MRS. ANDREW SMITH DIES

Funeral services for Mrs. Andrew Smith, well known Madison county resident, were held at the Lorimor Methodist church last Thursday, Aug. 21st. The Rev. E. R. Weetman conducted the services and burial was made in the Clark cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was the former Sara Klingensmith, the daughter of Sam and Mary Klingensmith. She was born December 3, 1855, in Indiana, and died last Thursday morning Aug. 19th, in a Creston hospital, at the age of 85 years.

The deceased came to this county with her parents in 1857, and they located on a farm in Monroe township. She was married to Andrew M. Smith, March 8, 1881. They have lived together over 60 years, and were the parents of five children. In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Josephine Stalcup, Lucy Denton, Marie Silverthorne, and one son, Elmer Smith, all living near Lorimor. Ida Smith died in 1893, at the age of seven years. She also leaves a brother, George Klingensmith, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Methodist church for many years.
